Press Release Where is your Soul? Ever looked into a coffin and wondered where the personality went? What animates us is essentially our soul. A new workshop called Soul Questing -http://www.soulquesting.net - is assisting people to experience the soul and get a greater sense of who they are. This self knowledge can be quite transforming says Kristina Kaine who has written the book, The Quest of the Soul, on which this workshop is based. “The soul is not so mysterious. It is the combination of how people feel, think and act that makes up the soul. It’s all about understanding how a person uniquely feels, thinks and acts.”

Kristina also points out that there is still more to human beings than a body and a soul. “Who is doing the thinking? Or who is feeling happy or sad?’ Deep in the core of a soul is the essence of the human being, the human spirit. Carl Jung identified it as the Self. This self, which is what a person calls themself when they say “I”, this is the unique beingness, the individuality of a human being.”

In her book, The Quest of the Soul, Kristina gives a wonderful illustration about how to use the soul and the “I” in different ways. “The difference between the “I” and the soul can be revealed in certain situations. Gifts and talents are associated with the Real Self and the following story about Paul McCartney explains the difference between the “I” and soul. He was being interviewed on the television and he referred, perhaps unknowingly, to the full power of his “I”. He said, “This is just me in here. Paul McCartney is some guy over there doing amazing things. If I thought that was me constantly it would blow my head off.” He was comparing the difference between expressing his talent to the maximum through his “I” and the way he is generally in everyday life expressing himself though his soul. His experience was that he could not live with the intensity of his talent all the time. He recognised that a lot of the time he sank into his soul levels and only fully express the potential of his “I” at certain times.”

Most importantly of all, this new workshop, developed by counsellor and psychotherapist, Anita-Joy Louis, assists people to become aware that the soul is asleep and as it dreams away they act automatically. Anita-Joy says that if you can wake the soul up you can kiss bad habits goodbye. No need to chip laboriously away at each habit; simply work consciously with the soul to replace unwanted behaviour, not by creating new habits, but by consciously responding to life.

One of the most refreshing aspects of the Soul Questing workshop is that it doesn’t use jargon. Wake up the soul today and release the true identity. Facilitators guide available for those who want to run the workshop themselves.
